Can not connect !
-
I can not connect my WIN 10 desktop to my Pixel 8R phone.
Using Local
It just keeps re-trying to connect
Tried several Port numbers in the 50000 range
Made at least a dozen attempts
Can anyone help ??? -
@heromed Hi!
I assume you followed the instructions here:
https://www.gui-o.com/design-tool#h.l8bfgce9xopcDid you provide the IP address of the Wireless adapter (not for example Ethernet adapter)? In my case:

Also - is your firewall blocking the designer app?

Thank you for your help !
Yes, I have used the correct IP address, and the firewall allowed it.
When I try to connect, I get the following message:`
Local connection error
(Q0)
Retrying in 5 seconds
And it flashes "Retrying..."
I have written a small Python Client, which does work with the Server, and receives the correct messages. But I can not find what IS the correct reply is from the Client.
I SUSPECT, THAT IT MIGHT BE ONE OF THE SETTING IN MY PIXEL THAT CAUSES THE PROBLEM ! -
@heromed Hi,
Q0 error means that the connection was refused. This error probably comes from the TCP transport layer. The server application did not accept the connection at the socket level due to some reason (wrong port or wrong address family)...
Can you try using another app (just to test) to try connect to GUI-O designer tool. For example:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sollae.eztcpclientRegards.

I tried the App you suggested. It did not connect either. But the small Python Client that I written, Talks to the Server, like they were twins.
So I am going to try using another phone, to see, if my original suspicions were correct, and there is some setting on my Pixel that stops connection. -
I have tried 3 different phones now, Pixel8R, Sony Experia, and Huawei Mate10.
None of them worked...
Must be my PC (Win 10) -
@heromed Hi.
Does the Python client run locally?
If it does, it may bypass some network or security restrictions, which could explain why it works. I still think this could be some Windows misconfiguration. Do you have any antivirus or endpoint security software running that might be blocking incoming connections?
Best regards,

Don't know what on earth has happened, But after all it was the Firewall caused the problem. I must have switched it off at least a half a dozen times. But once I added it to the allowed list, IT WORKS !
Thank you for your help. I appreciate it...
